HIS is an IB World School for the Primary Years Programme.
Our classes currently run from Nursery to Year 9. Our Teaching and Learning approaches are concept-driven, inquiry-led and research-based. Our goal is to provide learners with programmes that are significant, relevant, engaging and challenging, using local and global contents. We also aim to provide an environment for students to become self-motivated and confident individuals. Our curriculum is not only based on academics but is also focused towards developing the unique talent/s of each individual.
WHAT IS THE IB PRIMARY YEARS PROGRAMME (PYP)?
The program is designed for students from 3- 12 years. It focuses on the development of the child as an inquirer, both in the classroom and in the world outside. It is a framework guided by six transdisciplinary themes of global significance, explored using knowledge and skills derived from six subjects’ areas, as well as trans-disciplinary skills, with a powerful emphasis on inquiry. It is flexible enough to accommodate the demands of most national or local curriculums and provides the best preparation for students to engage in the future programs.
